Delivery and Lead Times
For delivery within the UK, lead times for printing and delivery of your items are 10-12 working days from the date of design approval. The design approval will be sent to the email used at checkout and will be sent within two working days. The sooner the design is approved, the sooner your order will get to you.
Please be aware, delivery outside of the UK can sometimes take up to 28 working days.
Royal Mail Special Delivery (next day delivery) for orders within the UK is used for orders over £150. This is a pre 1pm delivery and requires a signature. Royal Mail First Class signed for is used for all other orders.
For larger signage, Parcelforce 24 hour service is used.
Can I get my order quicker? We are currently working on developing the delivery element of Millie Stone, but our small business can only work to 10-12 working days lead time currently.

Top Tips
– Please thoroughly check spelling and grammar of all submitted wording. At Millie Stone, we are unable to proof read or question spelling and grammar. Getting a friend to read through is often very helpful.
– If a coloured card is chosen, the entire cardstock is that colour. Eg. Pink on the back, front and sides.
– A physical proof will be emailed to you using the email address you provide for approval. One amendment is included in case of any last minute edits, but please be aware that edits incur extra turnaround time.
Cardstock
– We use Colorplan card for all our designs because it is dyed at the fibre stage meaning the colour is continuous on the front, back and edges. Colorplan is a high quality range of colour card made in the UK.
– Colorplan cardstock is fully recyclable and biodegradable. It is also FSC certified.
– For the highest quality feel, choosing 600gsm thickness is recommended. 600gsm is a Duplexed card which is the gluing of two pieces of 300gsm board to create high quality, super thick card. 350gsm card is still fabulous quality, but bends easier.
Print Method
⁃ Wish to include gold or silver in your invitation design? Please choose ‘Gold Foil’ or ‘Silver Foil’ from the Print Method options. This method of adding a shine uses the digitally foiling method where the foil sits on the top of the card rather than being debossed into the card. Digital foiling is only an option on certain designs.
⁃ ‘Standard Print’ is a high quality digital print in matte colour and black.
⁃ ‘White Print’ looks lovely on a dark card. This is an alternative method of printing to standard print.
Finishing Touches
Envelopes:
⁃ If you have chosen printed envelopes, the colour of the print will be black or white depending on the card colour. Foiling on envelopes is not an option as the Post Office machines struggle to read them!
⁃ 180gsm Colorplan card is used for the matching handmade envelope. The envelope provided is 133mm x 184mm with a diamond shaped flap. This is free of charge and included within the invitation in white unless other options have been selected.
⁃ A standard white envelope is supplied in C7 size for each RSVP.
Vellum Wrap for Invites:
⁃ This finishing touch works well if you have chosen a matching information card and RSVP; it allows your guest to take out an invitation ‘pack’ rather than individual items.
⁃ If a vellum wrap is chosen, this is supplied assembled with a clear circular sticker to secure it at the back. Our wraps are 3cm x 25.5cm in 160gsm vellum. Vellum is another word for tracing paper!
Matching Stationery Items for Invites
Information Cards:
⁃ Our single sided information cards complement the design of the invitation. A maximum of 1000 characters can fit on a single sided info card.
⁃ The information card provided is the same size as the invitation card at 12.5cm x 17.5cm.
RSVP Cards:
⁃ RSVP wording comes with 4 spaces for your guests to fill in their details. Quantity of spaces cannot be changed from the listed 4, so if there are +4 members of the same household, please specify more RSVP cards on your order to allow for some families to have two cards enclosed.
⁃ Wording for RSVP cards cannot be altered aside from date and address. Please visit our bespoke page if you require more flexibility on wording.
– All RSVP cards are provided in white so your guests can fill their details in clearly
Save the Date Questions
Should I be sending my Save the Dates to evening guests too? We believe that it is best not to send evening guests a Save the Date to avoid disappointment. Your guests who receive a save the date card will likely be awaiting an invitation to the whole day!
When should I be sending my Save the Dates? It’s best to send your save the dates anywhere between 8-16 months prior to your event.
Who should receive a Save the Date? Ideally it is best to send your save the date cards to every household you intend to invite to your event.
Can I add on extra information to my Save the Date card? Yes! Please specify the extra wording you’d like in ‘Any additional wording you may wish to add’. Please be aware, the maximum length for extra wording is 200 characters.
What extra wording should I be adding? The main product image details all the information you should be adding to your Save the Date, but some people need to add extra wording such as their wedding website, information on children or even advice on hotels/travel/gifts.
